Presenters
Nick Parkinson | Senior Associate Nicholas practises in employment law and commercial litigation. He acts across all State and Federal civil jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia, as well as industrial tribunals and anti-discrimination bodies such as the Fair Work Commission and the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
Nicholas also has experience acting in Royal Commissions and inquiries, having previously served as Solicitor Assisting the Inquiry into the City of Perth, where he appeared as Counsel Assisting the Inquiry.
Robert French | Barrister Robert French is a litigator with over 20 years experience in Western Australia, Victoria and Hong Kong. His practice primarily comprises of commercial, administrative and employment law.
Robert joined the Perth Independent Bar in 2013 and has appeared in all courts here since that time. In particular he has appeared as sole or lead counsel in trials in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia and in appeals from both of these courts.
Relevant to today he has appeared as sole counsel in a number of proceedings in both the Supreme Court of WA and Federal Court of Australia in which employers sought to enforce post employment restraints and common law protections to protect their business.
