Bennett Hosts CPD Event on Protecting Business Interests from Departing Employees

Bennett was pleased to host a CPD session on Tuesday, 31 March 2026, titled Protecting customers, confidential information and your workforce from departing employees.

The event brought together clients and industry professionals for an in-depth discussion on the legal and practical considerations arising when employees exit a business, particularly in relation to the protection of confidential information, enforcement of post-employment restraints and maintaining workforce stability.

The session was presented by Nick Parkinson, Senior Associate at Bennett and Robert French of Francis Burt Chambers, who shared insights drawn from their extensive experience in employment law and dispute resolution across State and Federal jurisdictions.

Attendees gained practical guidance on navigating complex legal frameworks, as well as strategies to mitigate risk and protect business interests in an increasingly competitive environment.

The presentation was followed by networking over refreshments, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with the presenters and continue the discussion.

Bennett thanks all attendees for their participation and looks forward to continuing to support clients and the broader business community through future events and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
