Bennett
Clerkship Program

We have developed a bespoke clerkship program unlike any other

Over the course of 6 months, we provide law students with the opportunity to work with us for one set day per week as part of our team.

The Bennett Clerkship Program gives you the opportunity to gain exposure to litigation, intellectual property, employment and commercial matters and have the opportunity to experience what legal practice is really like. The Bennett Clerkship Program is a dynamic and varied program unlike the traditional clerkships and internships offered by other major law firms.

A pathway to a career in the law

The Bennett Clerkship Program is a pathway to becoming a graduate with Bennett, providing our Research Clerks with an opportunity to engage with key aspects of our specially tailored training program. Mentored by one of our senior practitioners as well as a dedicated supervision team, our Research Clerks are guided and supported through all stages of their training and tasks.

Our Research Clerks will also have access to some exciting benefits and opportunities, getting to know the team and becoming closely involved with the work that we do, including spending time in court observing and assisting our legal team, researching legal issues, and drafting commercial and court documents. This extended training opportunity sets our clerks up for success in their future careers, whether at Bennett or elsewhere in the profession. A large number of our clerk alumni have secured positions as Judges Associates following the completion of their studies.
