We have developed a bespoke clerkship program unlike any other

Over the course of approximately 6 months, we provide law students and recent graduates with the opportunity to work with us up to three days per week as part of the team.

Working with us over an extended period, our clerks gain exposure to litigation, intellectual property, and commercial matters and have the opportunity to experience what legal practice is really like. Our clerks take part in a dynamic and varied program unlike the traditional clerkships and internships offered by other major law firms.

A pathway to a career in the law

Our clerkship program is a pathway to becoming a graduate with Bennett, giving clerks an opportunity to engage with key aspects of our specially tailored training program. Mentored by one of our senior Principal Associates, clerks are guided and supported through all stages of their training and tasks.

Our clerks will also have access to some exciting benefits and opportunities, getting to know the team and becoming closely involved with the work that we do, including spending time in court observing and assisting our legal team, researching legal issues, and drafting commercial and court documents. This extended training opportunity sets our clerks up for success in their future careers, whether at Bennett or elsewhere in the profession. A large number of our clerk alumni have secured positions as Judges Associates following the completion of their studies.
