Bennett Hosts Piddington Society PLT Panel Discussion

On Thursday, 4 June, Bennett was delighted to host the Piddington Society‘s annual PLT Panel Discussion, “An Evening with the Grads” at our Perth office.

The event brought together this year’s Piddington PLT students and members of the legal profession for an engaging and insightful discussion focused on career development, professional pathways and practical experiences within the legal industry.

Lucette Quinlan, Director of Relationships at Piddington, delivered the official welcome for the evening.

The panel discussion was chaired by The Hon Ken Martin KC, Chair of the Piddington Society, and featured a distinguished group of speakers, including Jean Shaw SC, Solicitor General for Western Australia; His Honour Craig Bydder of the Supreme Court of Western Australia; Kate Gregory, Prosecutor at the Department of Public Prosecutions; and Rachel Ross, Principal at Bennett.

Throughout the discussion, panel members shared valuable insights into their careers, reflected on the opportunities and challenges facing emerging practitioners and provided practical advice for students preparing to enter the profession.

The session was conducted under Chatham House Rules, encouraging open and candid conversation between panel members and attendees.

Following the discussion, we invited guests to enjoy refreshments and canapés while continuing conversations with panellists and fellow attendees.

Bennett is proud to support initiatives that foster professional development and strengthen connections within the Western Australian legal community.

We thank the Piddington Society, Lucette, Elisha and Michelle, the panellists and all attendees for contributing to another successful event.
