The opportunity
Bennett is currently looking for a number of senior lawyers across several practice areas; litigation and dispute resolution, employment and construction. Working in a unique and flexible environment that facilitates collaboration across our team the roles will involve advising on novel legal issues, developing strategies and supervising junior practitioners. It will also include opportunities to appear as an advocate in Court, the Commission or represent your clients at mediation.
About you
To be successful in your application for this position you will:
- have a minimum of 7 years’ post admission experience working in a similar role within either litigation and dispute resolution, employment law or construction law (front or back end);
- have superior drafting skills for legal document preparation and a detailed understanding of the legal processes across all jurisdictions;
- have a demonstrated ability to work autonomously within a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management skills;
- be prepared to work on trials and urgent Court matters;
- have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality;
- demonstrate sound commercial understanding and judgement;
- have excellent written and oral communication skills, including persuasive written advocacy skills;
- be confident in managing client relationships;
- be confident in supervising junior practitioners; and
- be an energised and collegiate team member who enjoys a challenge.
