Alex joined Bennett in 2013 in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution section of the firm
Alex has broad experience acting in high profile and high value corporate governance/directors’ duties disputes, oppression proceedings under the Corporations Act, defamation proceedings, shareholder and partnership disputes and in disputes involving trusts and estates. Alex often appears in the Supreme Court, the Federal Court, the District Court, the Magistrates Court the Warden’s Court, and has also instructed in matters in the High Court, the WA Court of Appeal and the Full Court of the Federal Court.
Alex has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants in Western Australian and Federal first instance and appellate courts and has a sound knowledge of superior court practice and procedure. Alex also has experience acting as Counsel in a broad range of procedural disputes such as summary judgment or strike out applications, security for costs applications, applications for discovery and inspection, and applications relating to subpoenas.
Alex has also been recognised for a third year as a Rising Star in the Doyle’s Guide listing of Western Australian Commercial Litigation & Insolvency Law.
