Taleesha is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution section of the firm.

Taleesha graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Science. Prior to joining Bennett in 2013, Taleesha spent 18 months as the Associate to his Honour Justice Kenneth Martin in the Supreme Court of Western Australia.

Taleesha is a practical and experienced litigator, having acted in a wide variety of disputes in first instance and appellate Courts, both as instructing solicitor and as counsel.

She regularly advises and represents clients in defamation and media law matters, and also takes an interest in representing members of indigenous corporations in corporate disputes. She has acted on high profile defamation matters including Rayney v State of Western Australia, Reynolds v Higgins and Reynolds v Sharaz, and has also assisted clients with pre-publication advice. She has contributed submissions in respect of reforms to both the Uniform Defamation Act and the Corporations (Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander) Act.

Taleesha tutored Civil Procedure at UWA in 2019, 2020 and 2022.
