The opportunity
Bennett is currently looking for an Accounts Payable and Payroll Officer. The role reports to our Financial Controller.
Your day-to-day tasks will include, but not be limited to:
End to end accounts payable function:
- Processing high volume invoices & reconciliation of supplier statements
- Credit card reconciliations and ledger processing
- Active management of internal stakeholders and managing supplier queries
- Managing the accounts inbox
- Management of new suppliers, including supplier set-up
- Processing of approved supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding
- Prepare and processing of supplier payments via payment batches within the finance system, BPAY and EFT payments
- Processing of credit card transactions and International Payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Provide backup support of the firms billing function including coordination with the firms billing cycle and working closely with our legal and administration teams
End to end payroll processing experience:
- Fortnightly payroll processing using ELMO and Employment Hero
- Data entry of casual timesheets
- Assist with addressing payroll and superannuation queries
- Process superannuation payments
- Processing payroll deductions
What you need
Ideally, to be successful in your application for this position you will:
- Have at least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role
- Experience in the legal profession will be highly regarded but not a requirement
- Payroll processing experience using ELMO or a similar payroll tool, will be highly regarded but not a requirement
- An excellent eye for detail and accuracy
- Experience in a high-volume position
- Excellent time management, work prioritisation and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience of managing multiple priorities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team whilst maintaining positive working relationships with team members and suppliers
