The opportunity

Bennett is currently looking for a full time People & Culture Advisor.  Reporting directly to the People & Culture Manager, this position naturally requires a high level of confidentiality.  In this varied role, your day-to-day tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist with recruitment and candidate management including posting advertisements, scheduling interviews and preparing letters of offer;
  • Providing support throughout the employee lifecycle, including co-ordination of staff on-boarding through to off-boarding, and everything in between;
  • Coordinating staff inductions;
  • Ensuring electronic personnel files are maintained;
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies and procedures;
  • Experience in and assisting in the ongoing maintenance of the Firm’s HR information system (HRIS) platform – ELMO;
  • Assist in leave management and rosters; and
  • Projects as required by the People & Culture Manager and the Executive Committee.

What you need

Ideally, to be successful in your application for this position you will:

  • be degree qualified or undertaking studies relevant to HR;
  • be an experienced People & Culture Advisor with a passion for support people at work;
  • have strong interpersonal skills and respect for others;
  • be proactive with the ability to work autonomously;
  • have a demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment with exceptional time management skills;
  • have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality;
  • have excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • have advanced Microsoft Office 365 skills;
  • be an engaged team player who enjoys a challenge; and
  • experience within the legal profession would be highly regarded.
