Aparna is a Senior Associate in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution section of the firm.

Aparna has broad experience in litigation across a variety of Federal and Western Australian jurisdictions.  She has experience in advising and acting for a diverse range of clients, including both plaintiffs and defendants, in complex contractual disputes, claims under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law, insolvency and winding-up proceedings, equity and trust disputes, tort claims, defamation proceedings, and insider trading prosecutions.  She has acted for ASX-listed entities, private companies (including Indigenous corporations), foreign corporations, individuals, and Traditional Owner groups.

Prior to joining Bennett, Aparna worked at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and acted on a range of complex commercial litigation matters, including as a Solicitor Assisting the Perth Casino Royal Commission. She was previously a Judge’s Associate at the Federal Court of Australia.

Aparna previously served as a committee member of the firm’s Community Committee and the Law Society of Western Australia’s Indigenous Legal Issues Committee. She has also contributed to the Piddington Society’s Practical Legal Training course as a Civil Litigation course mentor.
