Matthew Barone

Matthew leads Bennett's Corporate and Commercial practice group.

He advises on mergers and acquisitions, equity investments and complex commercial transactions, and counsels boards and management on corporate governance and general corporate matters.

Matthew’s career spans private practice and industry in Australia and the United Kingdom. He previously held executive leadership roles within a national investment group’s operating businesses, with accountability for legal, governance, commercial, risk and strategy. Prior to joining Bennett, he was a partner at a leading national law firm.

He also serves on a number of boards and founded a resource recovery business.
