Bennett is pleased to announce its expansion into South Australia, establishing a presence within the Defence and Space Landing Pad at Lot Fourteen in Adelaide, strengthening the firm’s position in Australia’s rapidly growing defence sector.
Defence SA Chief Executive, Matt Opie said:
“Defence SA is pleased to welcome Bennett to the Defence and Space Landing Pad in South Australia, which continues to attract leading companies from across Australia and around the world who want to be part of Australia’s most complex defence projects.
The arrival of Bennett demonstrates the strength of South Australia’s defence and space ecosystems and the opportunities for companies to establish, grow and contribute to our state’s defence and space industries.”
This move marks a significant milestone in Bennett’s growth strategy, providing a foothold in one of Australia’s most important defence and innovation hubs. Operated by Defence SA, the Defence and Space Landing Pad supports the entry and expansion of national and international organisations into South Australia.
Located at Lot Fourteen, a leading innovation precinct in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD, the Landing Pad offers a collaborative environment designed to foster industry connection, innovation and growth. Bennett’s presence within this ecosystem will enable the firm to work more closely with clients, and key stakeholders across defence, aerospace and technology.
Bennett’s expansion comes at a time of continued growth, including the recent Principal appointment of Edward Parra, who strengthens Bennett’s offering across projects, infrastructure and construction and defence, and Matthew Barone, who strengthens the firm’s corporate transactional capability.
Principal, Edward Parra said:
“Our expansion into South Australia reflects Bennett’s continued growth and leadership within the defence and space sector and recognises the central role that South Australia plays in Australia’s defence and innovation landscape. Being part of the Defence and Space Landing Pad places us within a highly collaborative ecosystem that brings together government, industry and technology, and enables us to work more closely with clients delivering complex and strategically significant defence related projects.
Building on our experience across key defence and maritime precincts, including Henderson in Western Australia and Osborne in South Australia, and with our strengthened capability across projects & infrastructure, complex corporate transactions and our pre-eminent litigation practice, Bennett is well positioned to advise across the full project lifecycle — from strategic investment and transactions through to project structuring, delivery and risk management.”
Bennett looks forward to building strong relationships within the local South Australian defence industry.
Bennett officially commenced operations at the Landing Pad on 6 April 2026, with a launch event to follow.
